How do I recognise a high-quality omega-3 supplement?

Not by a single figure. A high-quality supplement shows three things: verifiable disclosures on the label, analytics on the finished product, and packaging that protects the oil until it is taken.

Why quality is more than omega-3 concentration

Many comparisons end at a single figure: milligrams of omega-3 per serving. That figure matters — but it only describes how much of a substance is present. It says nothing about the state of the oil, its purity, or how it stays protected until it is taken.

What to look for on the label

  • Which serving size do the values refer to?
  • Are EPA and DHA reported separately?
  • Is the molecular form stated?
